El Rancho READS!

Welcome, Educators and Families!

ERUSD is on its way to becoming second to none by ensuring every child is a reader! Students will be challenged to become college and career ready and life-long learners. The district will actively partner with the community as its leading educational institution that provides a technology rich and innovative learning environment for all students.

This page provides information and resources to support your students as they gear up and participate in the Superintendent's Summer Digital Reading Challenge!

Read the Superintendent's Letter to Parents, then check out the resources at right to get started!

Reading at home is important all year long

Families are a child’s first teachers and provide a strong foundation for success in school. That includes encouraging students to read every day, helping to foster a love of reading.

Research has shown that reading 20 minutes or more every day at home can have tremendous impact, now and in the future. Click on this chart to see how much it matters. Then, be sure your children set aside time to read every day, during the school year and all summer long!

What's available? Age-appropriate, authentic digital books and daily news for kids

Through our partnership, all students will have unlimited access to the myON personalized literacy environment, which includes authentic digital resources with flexiible multi-media supports.
