The Heart of Florida United Way Women’s Leadership Council and the Orange County Public Schools Literacy Project is a collaborative effort to provide schools with a cohesive approach to early literacy in order to support students with mastering reading skills.

Students in Orange County are reading and learning with myON all year long!    

Read on the Go this summer!   


Our Summer 2017 Challenge runs from May 26 to August 11, 2017 
  •  Contest is open to all OCPS students in grades K-8 at a participating myON school. Data will close on August 11th at 3:00 pm. 
  • Sea World has graciously donated many pairs of tickets to Aquatica that will be awarded in a random drawing.
  • Three lucky readers will also win gift cards and a backpack full of books from myON.
  • All students who read for a total of at least 15 hours during the contest run dates will be eligible to be entered into the random drawing. 
  • Schools with the highest totals will also be recognized with a visit from the myON Prize Patrol and receive books for their Media Centers!

Congratulations to all who participated in our March 2017 contest! 

Students in 50 schools representing close to 36,000 students read over 71,000 books and logged a total of 922,654 minutes of reading!
