Inspire Your ELL Readers to Tackle Text Complexity

Thursday, May 31, 2018 - 3:00 pm CDT

Educators are responsible for helping every student tackle text complexity. Quantitative features, qualitative features, and reader/text factors are concepts we have heard about, but what do we do with them?

In this edWebinar, Doris Linville, M.S.Ed., Literacy Advocate at myON by Renaissance,  and Carol Johnson, Ph.D., National Education Officer at Renaissance, break down each of the text complexity concepts in relation to ELL students in your classroom. They explore practical applications to support students’ English language development and to become confident lifelong readers and learners.

There will be time to get your questions answered during this live, interactive event. All K-12 educators, ELL specialists, reading specialists, literacy leaders, content area teachers, and librarians, as well as building and district administrators are invited to attend. Join us to learn how to inspire your ELL readers to tackle text complexity!

Participants will earn C.E. certificates.

Hosted by and sponsored by myON.
